Who operates Elyxo

Elyxo operates the Elyxo app and website and is responsible for the processing described in this policy. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@elyxo.app.

On-device creation

Selecting a source photo or video, editing it, rendering it and creating a Live Photo happen on your iPhone. Elyxo does not upload your original source media as part of the current creation flow.

Files saved to Photos or My Works remain on your device and may also be handled by Apple according to your iCloud Photos settings. Deleting your Elyxo account or the app does not delete those files.

Account, service and support data

An account is optional for browsing, creating and saving wallpapers. If you sign in, Elyxo and its authentication provider process your email address, display name, Elyxo account identifier and the provider identifier associated with email, Apple or Google sign-in. Your profile and official-wallpaper favorites may be stored with the account.

If you submit feedback while signed in, we process the report, optional screenshots and the limited device or diagnostic details allowed by the form. Please do not include sensitive information or source media.

Analytics, diagnostics and browser storage

When analytics is enabled, the app and website send a limited allowlist of product events and sanitized error diagnostics to PostHog. The website also records page views with a self-hosted Umami instance. This can include a pseudonymous device or browser identifier, event name, app version and build, platform, locale, relevant page or placement, campaign source, wallpaper identifier, failure code and sampled website performance measurements.

We do not intentionally include your email address, photos, videos, source content, feedback or search text, authentication tokens or signed file URLs in analytics. PostHog, Umami and infrastructure providers may receive an IP address and ordinary connection metadata when a request is delivered. The website uses localStorage for the analytics preference and pseudonymous identifier, and sessionStorage for performance sampling.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, provide account and wallpaper features, open the correct wallpaper from a link, maintain reliability, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, understand feature performance and answer support requests.

Elyxo does not sell personal information, serve behaviorally targeted advertising or use this information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Service providers and international processing

Supabase provides authentication and database services. Cloudflare provides website, email-delivery and object-storage infrastructure. PostHog provides limited product analytics and error diagnostics. A self-hosted Umami instance records website page views. Apple and Google process sign-in information when you choose their services.

These providers receive information only as needed to perform their services or under their own terms. They may process information outside your country, including in the United States, subject to their contracts, security measures and applicable transfer requirements.

Retention and deletion

Account, profile and favorite records are kept while the account is active or as needed to provide the service. Operational logs, backups, analytics and diagnostic records are retained only for their configured service periods or as needed for security, integrity and legal obligations. Pseudonymous analytics may remain until the applicable retention period expires.

Closed feedback cases and their screenshots are retained for 180 days, then removed. Deleting your account removes its feedback data and private attachments, but not files already saved to Photos or My Works, nor limited records we must retain as described above.

Your choices and rights

You can disable future optional analytics on this page or in the app under My → Settings → Privacy. Disabling analytics does not prevent the core wallpaper features from working.

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where it applies, or complain to your local data-protection authority. Email hello@elyxo.app to exercise a right.

Children and policy changes

Elyxo is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, email hello@elyxo.app so we can review and delete it.

We may update this policy as Elyxo develops or legal requirements change. Material changes will be dated and posted here before they take effect.

Analytics preference

Analytics is enabled by default in the current release. When enabled, Elyxo sends the limited events and diagnostics described above to PostHog, and website page views to Umami. Turning it off stops future optional analytics; core wallpaper features continue to work.
